Laboratory simulation on drifting of hazardous chemical substance

The continuously increase of hazardous chemicals transportation leads to a high risk leakage. Researches on drifting chemical substances are vital importance in damage reducing. Laboratory simulation substance carried out inside wave tank at the Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory. Different environmental conditions (wind, wave, etc.) were simulated find influence these factors and diffusion. To identify difference between substance, floating ball dyed petroleum oil used simulate solid liquid substance. result revealed that can improve diffusion, diffusion speed varies with height. Wind drive surface coefficient ranges from 2.1% 3.0%, while is relatively larger. laboratory results provide basis for study sea. Meanwhile, could be applied as correction numerical models prediction accuracy.
